    How to Get There

The NZ National Maritime Museum is situated at the edge of VIADUCT HARBOUR in the centre of Auckland's waterfront recreational area.

BY CAR

We recommend that you park in the Auckland City DOWNTOWN CAR PARK (blue tick on the above map). From level 1 there is a pedestrian footbridge bridge to the Viaduct

From the North Shore:
<Harbour Bridge, Southern Motorway> Take Fanshawe Street exit. As you pass under the Hobson Street fly-over, look for the parking building ahead.

From the South:
<Northern Motorway, Nelson Street Exit .... Caution - this exit is to the right, move to either of 2 right hand lanes before Khyber Pass> To the end of Nelson street, turn right into Fanshawe Street. As you pass under the Hobson Street fly-over, look for the parking building ahead.

BY FERRY or other PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The Museum is a short walk from the Ferry Building or Britomart Transport Centre (bus and train station). Keep the sea on your right and look for the Museum about 200 metres west of the ferry Building)

ON FOOT FROM CBD

The Museum is a short walk or taxi ride from the main hotels in Auckland City. Please ask the concierge, but essentially head for the waterfront and follow directions towards the Viaduct Harbour.
